This blog covers mental health, drugs and psychotherapy with an emphasis on the role of family dysfunction in behavioral problems. It discusses how family systems issues have been denigrated in psychiatry in favor of a disease model for everything by a combination of greedy pharmaceutical and managed care insurance companies, naïve and corrupt experts, twisted science, and desperate parents who want to believe that their children have a brain disease to avoid an overwhelming sense of guilt.

New Podcast, Part II. Family Dysfunction Effects Not "All in Your Head"
New podcast, Part II, discusses my family dysfunction model in more detail. Your problems with it are not "all in your head."
Anxiously helpless is when you desperately feel you absolutely must fix something or someone but you don't have any idea how. Anxiously guilty is when you add in the idea that you SHOULD know how to fix it but don't because of your own inadequacy or something you failed to do but should have.
Hi! I'd like to know in more detail what do you mean by "anxiously helpless and anxiously guilty". Tks
